Join us for an enchanting evening among the fields as we host a series of Farm-To-Table Dinners at The Witten Farm in Lowell, Ohio. Enjoy dinner under the trees, just steps away from where your food is being grown. It’s a great opportunity to share a relaxing evening with friends and enjoy the pleasures of eating locally.
Each dinner will feature:
- A specialized, seasonal menu designed and prepared by local chef Katie Wainwright-Tucker of Big Food Little Kitchen.
- Wine pairings presented by WineTree Vineyards, Vienna, West Virginia
- Live music by local violinists.
Event Location:
- The Farm at Rainbow, located at: 3465 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, OH. 45744. NOTE: Directions are here, but it may direct you to neighbor’s drive (and you can bet they would be surprised if 80 people showed up for dinner). There will be signs at the end of our driveway.
- Meet & Greet begins at 5:30pm.
- Dinner will begin promptly at 6pm
Dinner will be served rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, we will move the event to a rain location at the main farm. If this is necessary, we will notify you by email on the day of the event.
We recommend casual dress or “Farm Fancy” and encourage guests to wear or bring clothing appropriate for the day’s weather (i.e. jackets, sunglasses, hats, closed-toe shoes, etc.). Insect repellents are also a good idea to keep summer pests at bay.

A letter from the Chef:
Hello! My name is Katie Wainwright-Tucker. I grew up on a hobby farm in Waterford, a rural community just north of Marietta, OH. I attended John Carroll University and received an ROTC scholarship. After serving as an officer in the Army for 8 years, I had an intense desire to attend culinary school. As long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for my family and friends. While in college and the army, I enjoyed traveling, sampling and entertaining with foods from different regions and countries. So, I applied and attended Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh.
I loved every bit of culinary school. It was a unique experience. I excelled in all my classes, which gave me the opportunity to cook for multiple catering companies in Pittsburgh. These wonderful experiences inspired me to build my own business, which is ultimately what brought me back to Ohio, where my husband and I purchased a food trailer so we could start our own catering and food truck business. We both still have “day” jobs, but on the weekends we work and have fun together in our 8X14ft food truck. We have a wonderful team of people that work with us, including our parents and family members who are positive and supportive reinforcements.
In 2017, Julie Witten asked if I would consider collaborating with her to create a Farm- to Table dinner using vegetables from their farm. I jumped at the chance to create a more refined menu using an amazing medium like Witten’s produce. Creating these dinners for the last two years has been such a fun experience for me and our community. I love knowing that tomatoes were on the vine on Wednesday morning and on Friday evening they are seasoned and dressed to highlight their true beauty and flavor.
I look forward to seeing you at the table this Season!
Katie
