While blackberries have a reputation of being rather tart, but our homegrown beauties are a different story; they are allowed to ripen fully on the vine, increasing their sugar content and giving them a burst of flavor like no other. So sweet, you’ll think you are eating candy. Blackberry season begins in late June and ends in early August.
