Chocolate Zucchini Cake

 1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
 ½ cup granulated sugar
 ½ cup butter or margarine
 ½ cup vegetable oil
 3 eggs
 1 tsp vanilla
 ½ cup buttermilk
 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 ½ tsp allspice
 ½ tsp cinnamon
 ½ tsp salt
 2 tsp baking soda
 4 tbsp cocoa
 2 cups zucchini grated
 ½ to 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces

In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, butter, and oil. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Stir well to mix. Sift together all the dry ingredients and then sift into mixing bowl. Grate the zucchini, skin and all, into the bowl and stir until blended. Pour into greased, floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle top with chocolate pieces and bake in preheated 325° F oven for 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
