Kelly Bock

Kelly is a regional manager for our Marietta, Caldwell, and North Parkersburg Locations.  She has been with the company for 10 years.  Kelly can best be described as a ball of energy.  Her enthusiasm is contagious.  Whether she is talking flowers or sweet corn, she will get you motivated to start your own garden project or throw a dozen ears of corn on the grill.  When she is not working, she enjoys playing disc golf, fishing and walking with her dog.

My Favorite Season: “The first few days of sweet corn are always an exciting time!  There is no doubt a hungry buzz that fills the air, and the anticipation of the first fresh taste of that buttery golden goodness has everyone’s mouth watering.  It’s a fun time”.

Sandy Merrill

Sandy is a Regional Manager for 9 of our locations, ranging from Ripley, W.V. to Lancaster, OH.  She has been with the company for 8 ½ years.  Sandy is the chef extraordinaire of our group.  She can turn any piece of fresh produce into a mouthwatering masterpiece.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, reading and planting flowers.

My Most Memorable Experience: “One of the best experiences I have had was helping a family build a scarecrow at our fall festival.  When they were done, they came running to show me the finished project and give me a hug.  It made me realize what an impression we had made on them.  I don’t think too many retail establishments can say that”.

Katie Searles

Katie is the Regional Manager for our Zanesville and Columbus Locations.  She has been working for us since she was 16 and is currently in her 9th year with the company.  Katie can best be described as the entertainer of our group.  Whether she is stacking corn or telling you how to pick out the best melon, her vibrant personality is sure to make you laugh and add excitement to your day.  When Katie is not working, you can find her playing with her niece and nephew and planning her upcoming wedding.

My Favorite Season: “My favorite season is the next one.  When I’m tired of the cold, spring is my favorite.  When I’m tired of lugging hanging baskets, summer is my favorite.  When I’m tired of dumping corn, fall is my favorite.   Who am I kidding, I’m never tired of dumping corn”.

Angie Negie

Angie is the Manager of our Office and Lowell Market.  She has been with the company for 10 years.  She loves the variety of tasks that her job entails.  In a small business, you get the opportunity to wear a number of hats to get things done, which always leads to an interesting work week.  When she is not at work, you can find her spending time with her husband Brendan and daughter Sadie.  She also enjoys cross-stitching, quilting and movies.

Why I enjoy my job:  “There is nothing better than helping a customer pick out the perfect hanging basket for their front porch or the sweetest cantaloupe for their picnic.  It is such a rewarding feeling to see them leave with a smile and  know that you have helped make their day a little better”

Jenni Cunningham

Jenni is the manager of our Vienna location.  She has been with the company for 7 years.  Jenni is the  artist of our team.  Before she came to work for us, she painted at Fenton Glass.  Jenni’s passion for her job is evident in her relationship with her customers.  She is the person that will listen to your stories and make sure you leave with a smile on your face.  When she is not selling flowers, she enjoys working her flower garden, doing youth activities with her teenage daughter and spending time with her 3 grandchildren.

My Favorite Season: “My favorite season is flowers and I love helping customers plan their color schemes!!  It’s like working a puzzle.  I also LOVE helping people at our potting station…they get so excited seeing a container come together”.

Amanda Strong

Amanda is the manager of our Southside Parkersburg, Ripley and Ravenswood Locations.  She started working for the company when she was in high school and has been with us for 8 years.  She is a recent graduate of Marietta College with a degree in childhood education.  She enjoys her job because it gives her the opportunity to meet new people and help them pick out their produce.  When she is not stacking corn, you can find her spending time with friends and family, playing softball and swimming.

My Favorite Memory: “One summer, on a really hot day, another employee and I helped a lady pick out a few different items.  She left and about 10 minutes later she came back with ice water and snacks and thanked us for our help.  It’s nice knowing the customers appreciate what we do”.

Mallory Bailey

Mallory is the manager of our Lancaster and New Lexington Markets.  This will be her 5th year with the company.   From day one, the customers have been her favorite part of the job.  She loves to see the excitement people have when they are shopping for fresh fruits and veggies at the wagons or planning out their gardens at the flower markets. When she is not working at the markets, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, DIY projects, and playing music.

My Favorite Memory: “One of my favorite Witten’s memories would have to be participating in the corn stacking contest my second year at Witten’s. Although our market didn’t win and our stack fell three times, we had a blast competing in it”.

Courtney Pettit

Courtney is the Team Leader for our Lancaster Markets.  She has been with the company for 3 years.  She enjoys her job for many reasons, but her favorite part is the friendly atmosphere, where co-workers and customers are willing to learn, as well as willing to educate. Outside of the markets, she spends time with her nieces and is working towards a degree in Business Management at Grand Canyon University.

My Favorite Memory: “My favorite memory thus far would be when Kelly was helping a little girl pick out a hanging basket.  She was having trouble making a decision, so Kelly put the baskets in a circle. She had the little girl stand in the middle, close her eyes and spin.  Then she told her to stop. The basket she was looking at was the one.  This made a memory for this little girl and her family.  It's something I will never forget”.
