The most common question our customers ask is:                     "When was that Sweet Corn Picked?"                               At the Witten Farm, we are proud to answer with TODAY!  We hand pick our sweet corn 7 days a week, rain or shine.  Each morning beginning at 2 AM, our crews trek out into the fields to hand pick our sweet corn under spotlights so you can buy FRESH sweet corn the same day it is picked.  Our sweet corn is so tender and tasty, Butter is just an option, not a requirement.

Our sweet corn is not only tender and delicious, it is EARLY too.  We have sweet corn 2 weeks earlier than anyone else in the area.  Our sweet corn has been ready by July 1st for 20  straight years, with 2010 being a record: sweet corn was ready on June 12th.  We begin planting corn around the 1st of April.  The first planting is planted through a strip of thin clear plastic that acts as a magnifying glass to bring the soil to the correct temperature.  After the first planting, we make a planting every week throughout the early spring and summer (Approximately 15 plantings).  A planting every week means we are always harvesting the sweet corn at the peak of sweetness and tenderness
